Overton, NV Veterans' Day Parade

We waved goodbye to Vince, Cheryl, Miranda and the crew in Pahrump and we continue northto Overton, NV. We have stopped here before, it's a very small town just outside Lake Mead. Since the level of the Lake Mead has dropped so low it has really affected the community because the Overton Beach Marina has been shut down and the boater and fishermen don't pass through much any more.

We did catch the Veteran's Day parade in all its glory. We have caught several parades on this journey, they reveal a lot about the community. This parade started with people sitting on the curb with 5 open lanes of main street. It ended with one open lane and kids filling four lanes waiting for candy thrown from the parade.

This will be our last camp spot before we head further north and into the snow for the holidays. Our last taste of sunshine for the year.
